DanceAspen will bring “Limitless” to Ent Center for the Arts on Friday.

Seven dancers will present four pieces that recently premiered in Aspen, including the evening’s featured 22-minute work “Cloudline,” choreographed by Robyn Mineko Williams for Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago.

DanceAspen is launching its first ever educational outreach program with a performance at Aspen Elementary and Aspen Middle School on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

DanceAspen presented two nights of “LIMITLESS” on Friday and Saturday, its latest show at the Wheeler Opera House. Dancers included Sammy Altenau, Jonah Delgado, Matthew Gilmore, Meredith Harrill, and Madeleine Scott. Guest artists included Tyler Kerbel, Seia Rassenti and violinist MinTze Wu. Guest choreographers included Robyn Mineko Williams and Jason Hortin.

DanceAspen is back for a two-night performance at the Wheeler Opera House with showcases tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The valley’s homegrown dance company looks to present a program that, once again, exceeds audience expectations and challenges the limits of contemporary movement and artistry.

DanceAspen has built a reputation for pushing themselves both physically and artistically and expanding the boundaries of contemporary dance. So it’s no wonder they call their latest performance “LIMITLESS.”

When DanceAspen first reached out to Christel Stiver, wine director at the Hotel Jerome, about pairing wine with dance, she wasn’t sure what to think.

“I raised my eyebrows at first”, said Stiver. “It’s a unique and first-time experience for me, but I was very excited to have the chance to get creative.”

DanceAspen, a nonprofit contemporary dance company, will premiere its first summer showcase at the Wheeler Opera House on Aug. 25 and 26. This performance, titled “Solstice,” will feature work from world-renowned and award-winning choreographers Matthew Neenan of Philadelphia Ballet and Cayetano Soto of Barcelona, Spain.

Part of what makes DanceAspen’s performances so dynamic and energetic is the unique creativity and collaboration the company fosters from within. As a collective whole, the company seeks out artists who can do it all -- they perform, choreograph, manage, and direct.

It’s rare for a company dancer to present their own choreography alongside outsourced choreographers in a single showcase or program.
